Visit Report: Old Nakagawa Riverbank and Fureai Bridge
Fureai Bridge spans 56 meters, connecting Hirai in Edogawa City with Kameido in Koto City
This bridge features a beautiful arch design, and from the northeastern shore you can enjoy the collaboration of the illuminated bridge with Tokyo Skytree.
Since Fureai Bridge is lit up in blue, we recommend visiting when Tokyo Skytree is displaying its iki (blue) lighting to match.
The area around Fureai Bridge is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, with kawazu cherry trees that begin blooming in early February and somei yoshino sakura that follow.
This spot offers various scenic views throughout the seasons, so definitely make the effort to visit.
