Visit Report of Sumida River Bridge

The Sumida River Bridge was built in conjunction with the elevated Metropolitan Expressway No. 9 Fukagawa Line.

It is now possible to walk across directly under the Metropolitan Expressway No. 9 Fukagawa Line, allowing visitors to enjoy night views of the south and north sides of the river.

The south side offers a typical Tokyo view of the Eitai Bridge lit up in blue and the high-rise condominium complexes of Tsukishima, while the north side offers the illuminated Tokyo Sky Tree and Kiyosubashi Bridge.

The sight of houseboats coming and going right under the bridge is also a highlight.

The pedestrian path is quite wide, making it ideal for relaxing and viewing the night scenery, and there are several attractive bridges around the Sumida River Bridge.

It might be a good idea to take a walk and visit night view spots.

By the way, Eitai Bridge is lit up in blue from 15 minutes after sunset until 23:00. It is a nice point to be able to enjoy the lights until relatively late at night.
