Visit Report: Tamagawa Sengen Shrine Observatory Deck
Tamagawa Sengen Shrine enjoys a prime location just 3 minutes on foot from Tamagawa Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line.
Within the shrine grounds, right next to the main hall, there's an open-air observatory deck where you can take in sweeping 180-degree panoramic night views overlooking the Tamagawa River.
The highlight is the cluster of high-rise buildings towering in the Musashi-Kosugi area across the river. When evening falls and the lights come on, you can enjoy the beautiful contrast between the illuminated buildings and the orange-lit Maruko Bridge.
On clear days with good visibility, you can even catch sight of Mount Fuji. The scenery is particularly stunning during the twilight hours.
With plenty of street lighting keeping the area bright and safe even at night, plus good security, this peaceful spot is perfect for everyone from couples to families.
