Kiyosu Bridge, which spans the lower Sumida River, is designated as an Important Cultural Property by the national government.
It was completed in March 1928 as part of the capital's reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
Designed to complement the robust and grand, masculine impression of Eitai Bridge, Kiyosu Bridge features a delicate and feminine design.
From 15 minutes after sunset until 11 PM, it is illuminated with pink lights, offering a beautiful night view.
The surrounding area features the beautifully maintained Sumida River Terrace and several illuminated bridges, making it an ideal spot for an evening stroll.
