MAGNET by SHIBUYA 109 opened in 2018.
This commercial facility was created by renovating the fashion building "109 MEN'S" located right in front of Shibuya Crossing.
On the rooftop of this building is "CROSSING VIEW," a sky-themed observation deck.
You can enjoy panoramic views of Shibuya Crossing and beyond to Shibuya landmarks like Shibuya Mark City, Shibuya 109, and Shibuya Fukuras.
The highlight is undoubtedly Shibuya Crossing. The sight of 3,000 people crossing back and forth with each green light is truly spectacular.
While entry requires purchasing a drink at the attached cafe, the reasonable pricing of ¥600 (approx. $4) and up for observation deck access plus a beverage is a welcome feature.
Cafe customers can also use "Crossing Photo," which lets you take selfies with Shibuya Crossing as your backdrop using a camera positioned high overhead, making for unique commemorative photos.
