Visit Report of Eitai Bridge
The Eitai Bridge spans the downstream portion of the Sumida River and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
It was completed in December of the 15th year of the Taisho era as part of the Tokyo Reconstruction Project following the Great Kanto Earthquake.
Characterized by its curved arches, the bridge is illuminated in a cool blue color from 15 minutes after sunset until 11 p.m.
From the midpoint of the bridge, you can enjoy a panoramic view of River City 21, a large-scale condominium complex in the Tsukishima area, offering a very impressive night view.
Around the Eitai Bridge, you can also observe the Tokyo Skytree and the high-rise buildings in the Tsukishima area coexisting with the Eitai Bridge from the Sumida Ohashi and Chuo Ohashi bridges nearby. So, be sure to visit for an evening stroll and enjoy the sight.
