Tokyo Station Marunouchi Front Plaza fully opened in December 2017 after three years of development starting in 2014.
The plaza's main feature is its close-up views of the illuminated Tokyo Station building, making it a popular nightscape spot where you'll always spot people taking commemorative photos with their smartphones and cameras.
Benches are scattered throughout the plaza, allowing visitors to sit back and leisurely enjoy the scenery of Tokyo's grand entrance.
It's definitely worth a visit whether you're sightseeing or heading home from work.
Every year from Christmas through New Year's, Tokyo Station Marunouchi Front Plaza also hosts the "Tokyo Michiterasu" illumination event.
