Visit Report of Former Shibarikyu Gardens
The garden was created in 1678 when it became the residence of Okubo Tadacho, a feudal lord in the early Edo period.
The garden is centered around a pond.
The garden is a typical kaiyushiki fountain garden with a pond at its center, and visitors can enjoy the contrast between the garden and the buildings in the city.
The garden is usually open from 5:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Although the garden usually closes at 17:00, nighttime illumination events are held several times a year.
The lights of the illuminated Japanese garden and skyscrapers reflecting on the pond are a beautiful sight.
The location is easily accessible, just a short walk from Hamamatsucho Station, so be sure to stop by in time for the event.
