Yokohama Landmark Tower is the third tallest skyscraper in Japan.

On the 69th floor of the building is the Sky Garden, an observation deck that offers a 360-degree view of the bay area.

This is the eastern view from which you can see Cosmolock 21, the Grand Pier, and the Bay Bridge.

Nihonmaru Memorial Park is the first park developed in the Minato Mirai area.

The Sailing Ship Nippon Maru, a National Important Cultural Property, is on display in the park, and the Yokohama Minato Museum is also located there.

After sunset, the Sailing Ship Nippon Maru is illuminated until 10:00 p.m., offering a beautiful view.

Kishamichi promenade

Train Path and CosmoRock 21

A 500-meter promenade connecting Sakuragicho with World Porters and the red brick area.

The promenade, which opened in 1997, was built on the site of an abandoned railroad line and retains historical structures such as the stone masonry built when the railroad was in operation and the American Iron Bridge.

From the promenade, you can see the Minato Mirai area to the north and the Yokohama Air Cabin (ropeway) to the south.

There are so many night view spots to see that it is fun to walk around and look for a good composition.

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse lit up

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse was built in the Meiji era (1868-1912) and has a history of about 100 years.

In 2007, it was recognized as a Heritage of Industrial Modernization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and plays a role in passing on the good old days of Yokohama to future generations.

At night, the red brick warehouse is illuminated in tile colors.

Yokohama City Hall Citizens' Lounge

Yokohama City Hall was newly built and relocated at the end of June 2020.

On the third floor of the 32-story, 155-meter-high skyscraper, there is a space called the Citizens' Lounge on the floor, with large windows offering a view of the city toward Minatomirai.

It is a rare spot where visitors can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Yokohama Landmark Tower, Nihonmaru Memorial Park, and CosmoRock 21.

The museum closes at 20:00, so if you are interested in visiting, please pay attention to the time.

Pukari Pier

Pukari Pier and luxury cruise ship illuminated

Pukari Pier is located between the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Center and the Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel.

It is famous not only as a landing place for sightseeing boats, but also as a symbol of the Minato Mirai area due to its unique shape.

At night, the pier is illuminated, making it possible to take very picturesque photos.

It is recommended to visit when the luxury cruise ships are docked at the Yokohama Hammerhead.

It is a large commercial facility with the Shinko Pier Passenger Boat Terminal at its core, cafes and restraurant on the 1st and 2nd floors, and lodging facilities on the 3rd through 5th floors.

There is an outdoor terrace on the second floor, which offers a night view of the Yokohama Minato Mirai area.

The view is not that great because of its short height, but the sight of the buildings that symbolize Minato Mirai lined up in a row is very beautiful.

Cross Gate Sakuragicho is a commercial building located a short walk from Sakuragicho Station.

There is an open terrace on the third floor restaurant area that offers free admission and a view of the skyscrapers of Minato Mirai and the CosmoRock 21, a giant Ferris wheel.

The height of the fence makes the view less spectacular, but it is a good spot to sit on a bench and enjoy the night view with fewer people.

It is open until midnight, so be sure to stop by on your way home from a date around Minato Mirai.
